Question re: Outlook & Outlook Express

I use Outlook for all my emails & Outlook Express for news groups. Each has
a different email address. When I "Reply to Group" in Outlook Express, no
problem. When I select "Reply", I am prompted for an Outlook profile ( I
have two) which, as I understand it, will cause the message to be sent with
the Outlook profile and its corresponding email address that I select.

Do I need to create a profile or email account or both in Outlook Express or
add a profile to Outlook? Either way it would be a different email address
than the two in Outlook. I must use a different email address for
newsgroups to avoid 6 tons of spam a day. I've been able to keep them
separate and I get only 4 or 5 spam messages a year in my Outlook account.

Please help,
Ephraim

That's correct. Since you have Outlook designated as your default mail
program, OE will call Outlook to send mail.

You need to have a profile in Outlook (it can be one of your existing
profiles or a separate one) containing the account from which you wish to
send the message. Adding it to OE won't do any good because OE isn't
sending the message, Outlook is.

I have one profile containing three accounts. One is my Exchange account,
once is an internal POP account (pointing to a system that sends me status
message via a local account on that machine) and a throw-away Yahoo!
account. When I reply, Outlook's compose window pops up and I use the
Accounts button to choose the throw-away address.
