Please help ! ... I am making a series of web pages based on the
following :

1
In a power point of 8 / 10 slides, I insert, in each, one windows media

player object

2
I link a video (.wmv) to each of this windows media player objects

3
I save this ppt as web page (.html) and publish

Meanwhile I am making the ppt sometimes I lost the link between the
windows media player objects and de videos, but once the web page is
published it works fine with MS Explorer.

My question is :

is that procedure correct ?, with it can I get some malfunctions ?,
case of this where not correct, it exist some simple alternative ?,
thank you.

You should understand that this is an all-volunteer newsgroup.

If someone knows the answer, they'll reply when they get a chance. It may take
a little time.

You may be anxious to get an answer but reposting your question over and over
won't make it happen any faster, but it might annoy the very people who might
be able to help you.

In the meanwhile, it would help if you provide some more details:

A URL where you've posted your work so other people can test it for themselves
would be a good idea.

And can you explain this a bit more:
Meanwhile I am making the ppt sometimes I lost the link between the

You are right Steve, sorry I am not very used tu this forum.

No problem. The explanation you posted was great.
I'm not sure why the media player control would lose the name of the movie after
you play it. Does it help if you first save the PPT file, THEN view the
presentation?

But it seems to me that the method you're using to make HTML works fine.

The one problem I can see is that users with an older version of Windows Media
Player or some other browsers may not be able to view it. I tried under Opera and
got this message:

"Esta presentación contiene elementos que su explorador no puede mostrar
correctamente. Esta versión está diseñada para utilizar versiones más modernas de
Microsoft Internet Explorer. Si desea continuar, haga clic aquí."

Y si hago clic aqui ... absolutamente nada. Blank page.

And in Internet Explorer, it worked but only played the sound; no video.

On a more updated PC, it works fine!

Thanks for the swift reply.

Good idea, I will try in the future to save before to see the
presentation.

Your opinion about the method helps me, I was needing some type
confirmation for this system before transmitting it to it to my
students. Now I will add your explanations about old versions of wmp.

"Y si hago clic aqui ... absolutamente nada" ... mmm... that sounds to
a good knowledge of the spanish language is in´t ¿? :)

Thank you for all again

Unfortunately, no. Just a little bit that I remember from college.
And that, que milagro, was 30 years ago.

But by the way, did you know that there is also a Spanish PowerPoint newsgroup
(and a brilliant PowerPoint MVP named Enric Mañas)? Of course, you're welcome
here too.

Right on both counts, I think, but let's not squabble in front of the others.

Hi Enric, thanks to Steve's kind suggestion, I have been in "microsoft
.. public . es . powerpoint" and looks great, I hope to see you there
soon.
