Question on User folder subdirs..

I scanned, and didn't find an understandable resolution. Here's the
question/scenario:
I have installed some programs into Vista from my XP. I see that the new
structure is \Users\username. What do I need to do exactly to copy data into
a folder under Users\username? I try and it asks for permission, then denies
access. I am on the first/only account on this computer, with admin rights,
in Vista Ultimate.
Where do I need to go to unlock this feature, at least long enough to copy
info in directories under users\username?
Thanks!

What are you trying to copy and where to? Can you tell us the exact steps you
are taking and tell us what the dialogs you are getting when doing it?

Most likely you are trying to copy something into a location that only
administrators have access to. You are a member of that group, but with UAC,
you are not actually considered to be a member of it for purposes of checking
permissions. If you can give us more detail about exactly what you are doing
we can probably help you figure out how to make it work.

I figured it out. It was asking me for password, where after reading I
disabled passwords for logging into the private network. I then had to
assign permissions, in order to be able to copy a file to the folder.
I have an XP box, and was trying to ge an automated program to copy a file
from XP to a folder on the Vista box. It now works.
Thanks!
