question on new "windows desktop search"

In the search window, i cannot seem to configure the columns that come up.
In the old search, if you rt. click on the columns, there was a dropdown
list where you could check/uncheck the columns that you wanted to see. Is
it possible to configure columns in this new (and so-called improved)
search? Its a hassle to have to scroll right to see what i want to see,
when a bunch of stuff i don't care about is displayed to the left in the
result.

Hello Tom,

If right-clicking on the bar above the search results doesn't work, go
to View => Choose Details (presuming you're set to view search results
in Details view. You can do this in Start => Search, or in Explorer =>
View => Explorer Bar => Search.

Can you give me any more info here. How do i set myself to view in
"details" view? Can't find this in help. IN the icon that looks like one
usually uses it for that, it only has choice "Large icons" or "small icons".
And, in the main view menu, there is no "Choose details" (just toolbars,
status bar, explorer bar, large icons, small icons, preview pane, goto, and
refresh). THanks for any clarification you can provide.

Where can i set "details view"? ON what i might think is the right icon, it
only has "large icons, small icons". And, View menu does not have an item
"Choose details". If you can help me out, thanks.

Hello again Tom,

Sorry for the late reply. The group I'm in hasn't been giving me
notifications of new posts for two weeks now - something amiss there.
I'm having to search old posts to see if there have been any further
posts.

I've been using the Search function from within Explorer. Click View
=> Explorer Bar => Search.
Then I see View => Details, and also View '=> Choose Details'.
