Question for Win2000 security expert

L

Lem Lo

Hello and thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
Everywhere I read about sharing resources with Windows 2000
Professional in a workgroup, it is easier to share
resources if the usernames and passwords are identical on
both PCs.

I was wondering if it is possible at all to share a printer
across 2 PCs without requiring both PCs to have a username
with the same password on both computers?

Thank you for your help,

Lem

You would need to enable the Guest account on the PC sharing the Printer,
then allow the Guest account print access. There are security concerns
enabling the Guest account.
