question bout windows update...

Ok I was wondering. Microsoft released a patch dated
10/22/03 I downloaded it from the windows update catalog
site. THe the other day I saw that they released the same
patch and its posted date says 10/28/2003. Is this a
recent version of the patch? Do I need to download it?

Just visit Windows Update and let it decide for you.
The XP patch that was rereleased recently corrected
an issue some installs of the earlier version of the patch
were experiencing. It does not change the vulnerability
correction provided by the current or earlier version of
the patch (i.e. if you have the earlier installed you are
patched).
