hi i was just wondering if i download the latest windows
media player will i loose everything i have already on my
recent media player?

Kelly,
Different versions of Windows Media Player can co-exist with each other.
Your media files will not be affected by whatever player you install, though
you might find that not all players can play all files. Just watch out for
the offer to become the 'default player' during install, and consider if
that situation is desirable before clicking.

Kelly:

You won't lose files that have been saved, but you will lose your current
version of Media Player, and I believe there is no way to download it again.

You might want to read some of the problems others have had with MP9 before
you upgrade. To do this, subscribe to the Windows Media newsgroup at
Microsoft.com.
