Question about the "My Pictures" folder

My Pictures folder has 9 sub-folders, one for each general category. Each
of these sub-folders has several hundred sub-sub-folders, plus a few loose
pictures that don't fit into any of the sub-sub-folders. Each
sub-sub-folder contains anywhere from 2 to 200 files (pictures). I'd like
My Pictures to open in the "List" view; each sub-folder to open in "List" as
well; but each sub-sub-folder to open in "Thumbnails".

I can do this on recent additions, but it's a whale of the job to redo each
sub-sub-folder. Is there a way to do this?

I can do anything I want to the entire computer, but I don't want My Music
to open in thumbnails. :)

If I understand you try this.

Open windows explorer, click on >tools>folder options>view tab>then you will
find the "folders view" options
