Question about speaker's notes

Newbie here. Is it possible to have your speaker's notes showing on
your laptop screen, but have only the slide showing on the projector?
Be a handy feature to have -- or is there another solution?

I think these articles mention this, but in case they don't, go to Slide
Show|Set up Show and see if you have a "presenter view" option.

Thanks! Took a bit of fiddling, but I was able to get it to work. This
is too cool. How well does the hardware mentioned work for computers
that can't do this with the built-in video card?

PCMCIA-based graphics cards like VTBook from VillageTronic
(http://www.villagetronic.com/) are available to add on to laptops. Those
graphics card can act as the secondary monitor.
