Question about power supply

I love USENET, it's always there when you have questions during the
actual project.

I replaced my motherboard, and due the connector layout, I can now use
an add-on hard drive cage that didn't fit with the old motherboard
layout in my case. That means I can upgrade from 2 to 5 hard drives.
Yipee. I have 5 SATA hard drives already. Then I have two SATA CD/DVD
drives.

I find my Ultra X3 600w Modular Power Supply is not up to the task -
for a rather unexpected reason. I'm missing the cables described as:

two 5 Pin SATA Power Cable (3 Devices)

I have two 5 pin cables for 2 devices. One of these has a damaged
connector, so I can't use it.

Then, I have two 4 pin connectors for single SATA devices. These go
into the same slots that the old IDE hard drive power connectors go
into. They've always been useful but I didn't realize they were the
wrong cables.

This gives me a total of 4 working SATA connections, with 7 SATA
devices.

Is there some way I could buy those two cables separately , or at
least another "cable pack" of some sort without the power supply? I
like the power supply and I fully expect to upgrade to the X4 someday,
just not right now. My X3 More than does the job.

(Off to decide which SATA devices are "required" at this point)

Well, you appear to have some unused molex cables. You could convert
three of those:

That should work OK. -Dave
