I had a Notepad file in Chinese, which content was once all
ASCII characters. I opened the file under IE and reset the
Encoding to view the Chinese characters within. Then I
copied and pasted the entire content back into Notepad, but
didn't save it as Unicode (not 100% sure about this Unicode
thing, but some friends reckon that's most likely the
case). Now the Chinese charaters in that Notepad all turned
into question marks.
I would like to know if it is possible to recover that
Notepad file.
Many thanks!
PS My O/S is English version Windows XP with Chinese input
locale.
