Question about installing XP on a RAID 0 system with 2 HD's

Quick question for someone who knows the answer. While viewing another
forum, a person posted he was having problems configuring his new system
which consisted of 2 SATA HD configured as a striped RAID 0. When installing
the XP Pro OS it just hangs.

Is this possible to install XP Pro on a RAID 0 configuration? I thought it
wouldn't let you do this since the system and boot partitions wouldn't be on
a redundant drive. Maybe I'm thinking wrong.

I thank anyone who could answer this for me and clear up my thinking.

Thanks,

Paul

Hardware raid is invisible to the operating system so yes it is possible.
Consider that there is no fault tolerance though. Either drive fails and you
lose the stripe set.

Yes it is possible, that's how my system is running right now. There is no
"redundant" drive, the data is simultaneously split across the two drives.
The only problem you may encounter is finding the floppy disk your going to
need with the raid controller drivers on when you install XP.
