Hi All,
I have just migrated from win 2000 pro to xp home ( I know its a bit late
but my son has just got a game that only works on xp )
I have done a clean install and have created six profiles for the family.
My C hdd now says that the capacity used is 24+g of a 40 g drive with not
all my software installed.
In win 2000 it was only about 11g ( one for all profile) with full installed
programmes.
Checking the contents of the C drive.(edit/select all/properties) says I
only have used 9.4 g.
Right clicking in an empty space in my C drive and properties says I have
used 24+ g.
Is it because of the profiles I have created or what?
Any ideas please?

regards Peter

Perhaps a third-party software can help you analyze the disk space utilization.

Try DiskData from http://www.digallery.com/diskdata/

<Q>
DISKdata is a powerful explorer-like application for Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP/2003/Vista that analyzes disk space utilization. Selecting a disk volume or folder displays a summary of its contents in report or chart format. Statistics include file/folder actual size, allocated size, storage efficiency, storage slice, modification date, attributes, extension and version information.
