Query regarding the formatting of Header and Footer

Rathish

Hi,
I have a query regarding the Changes in Header & footer.I am keen to know
why it exactly happened. Actually i got what caused the changes but i would
like to know the reason? Why.

what i did was
I created a template with text in the Footer of the first page, on the
second page a table with some text with a page break(next page)in the second
page's footer i numbered it as page no 2. Then on the 3rd page again i have
some text with a table and the footer was numbered as page no 3.

Problem is
When i delete the page break inserted in page number two. The text of the
footer automatically get Disappear instead of which it will show Page number
1.

Conclusion
I have managed to ammend the template as per the request of my client. But i
am keen to know what actually happend with the section breaks which tampered
my formatting of the footers.

If at all anybody unknowingly delete the break. The protection dosen't allow

then the break was a section break, not a page break, correct?

This might be overkill, but protecting the document certainly does what you
are asking for.
