QFEs in IMG format

DPM

I need to apply the DST patch to my SP1 image (I added the DUA to it). The
QFE is in a file with a .img extension. What do I do with that? I'm only
interested in KB928388 - how do I apply just that patch?

Also, how do I add this fix to my component database?

Thanks.

On my Mac the img file gets mounted and in there you have a few dirs
and files, the DQI directory contains the installers you are looking
for. As to how to open the img file on a pc? maybe winrar might be
able to open it, I know they can open iso files. I think nero can burn
img files to disk, or maybe something like daemontools may be able to
mount it?

Hope that help.

Carlos is right, Daemontools can load them, you just have to change the
"Files of type" in the image load dialog to "All Files" and browse to the
IMG file. You can also use ISOBuster if you want to accomplish the same
thing. The .IMG file is just and ISO so think of it like that.

I could have sworn there was a MS CD image loading utility out there
somewhere that I tried once. Maybe it was in a resource kit or something,
but I can't for the life of me find it now. I'll post a link if I find it.

HTH,
Brad
