I just ran DXDIAG to check for problems with DirectX. I
noted under the Display Tab that the "file qasf.dll is an
old version, which could cause problems". It further
recommends I reinstall 9.0.b version of DirectX. I did
and the same problem msg exists with the same qasf.dll
version. It states I have the following version:
10.00.0000.3473 dtd 5/27/2004. File size: 237568.
I recently installed the beta version of Windows Media 10
and it may have been installed then. But a search of MS
forums/dll database/etc., does not reveal a version this
high and I'm concerned it could have been surreptiously
installed by someone malicious. Should I be concerned?
Thanks in advance for any advice/assistance.
