Q813707 Win2K Multifunction PCMCIA card problem

Microsoft direct to download the patch. They will do this free of
charge, but any further support becomes chargeable....

I am having the same issue with a multi-function device, only in win2k
and not xp (but the problem is recognised in both operating systems).
It is a PCMCIA dual port RS232 card. Only one of my com ports is
enabled whilst the other displays a code 10; device cannot start. This
is exactly what MS describe in article see Q813707... however when i
applied the fix the problems still remains.

I contacted MS regarding this and they said there may be issues with
the PCMCIA.sys. They then sent me a patch for this.... see Q810418. I
have installed this and again the problem remains.

If anyone has any other clues they can offer.... post back....
