Problem installing PCMCIA Card on P4 System running Win2K Pro

Anand S S

We are trying to install CAN CardX manufactured by Vector
on a Industrial PC. We are getting the following error
message.

" This Device cannot start (Code 10)." as displayed in
Device Manager.

We have the adapter card (PCI interface) with Texas
Instruments PCI-1410 Card Bus controller. This controller
card is taking the IRQ 17 and is able to detect the
plugging and un-plugging of PCMCIA Card.

Hardware : CAN CARD X
Version No.: 4.3.60 Date:14.01.2004
OS : MS-Windows 2000 SP4
Sys. Configuration : P4 2.4Ghz Processor, 512MB DDR RAM.

Kindly suggest the solution at the earliest.

Windows often fails to allocate irq to type II cards in a cardbus socket.
Probably the driver is not receiving interrupts.
This issue should be addresed to the vendor of PCI to cardbus adapter,
or vendor of the card.
