Hi all.

This is REALLY starting to piss me off...

The automatic update icon in the system tray turns yellow. For the
1E+7653th time.

I click on it, and sure enough: the same fu..ing update is being
offered again, eventhough I said "No", and "Don't ask me again".

So how do I get rid of this once and for all?

.... or can I traffic the catalog on my PC to mark it as already
downloaded and installed?

Thanks!

why dont you turn updates off if you already have sp2

I got you beat, I've actually loaded it 5 times and it still keeps trying to
load it.

is it doing this every day or so, or just after the first tuesday of the
month? If the latter, then that's normal, this tool is re-released in
updated form (with new threats in its database) each and every month.

Yeah well...

What's the point of having an option to no longer offer unselected
updates (or 'hide' updates on the WU page), if it keeps coming back?

MS is so worthless sometimes.

The ones you've hidden, are still gone... There is a NEW version of your
"complaint' file every month... Malicious programs don't take time off just
so you don't have to download new versions of the removal tool... Get used
to it...

Don't know if anyone has noticed this, but the same sort of thing happens to
me. However, when i say don't notify me again about, say, the April 2006
Removal tool, I just get notification about the March 2006. I don't want ANY
of them, however we're back to about January 2005 on my notifications now....
... Pain the ass, I hate MS, for many more reasons than this.
