Hi,

Is it possible to associate Windows-Logo-Key plus some English letter with
some iconic shortcut, or remap "Windows-Logo-Key plus E"?

I search the whole disk for Windows Explorer (WE)'s shortcuts. Then I
change all of their properties so that c:\temp is WE's default folder. I
click on each of them and WE is launched with c:\temp as the default folder.
That is good. But if I hit "Windows-Logo-Key plus E", WE is still launched
with Desktop as default.

Someone may recommend to associate some other keys instead of
Windows-Logo-Key. The beauty of Windows-Logo-Key is that it does not
conflict with alt/ctrl/shift and function keys which are used by many other
applications.

Any help is much appreciated.

Hi,

In short, that behavior can't be changed. This and other keyboard shortcuts
are hard-coded and while some can ber remapped, thier default behavior
cannot be edited.

Hi Rick,

Would you kindly name one or two of these Windows keys that can be remapped
and also let me know how to remap? I will remap those key to a Windows
Explorer shortcut that has c:\temp as the default folder. Thanks in advance
for your help.
