Q F E installer error

i first download and saved Q323255(sp2) from microsoft


and then installed on my win.Xp pro, but it said that:

WEupdate cannot retrieve imformation needed for setup

from data base.

setup cannot continue. thank you

Are you downloading the QFE from
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...7-766d-45fc-9a9c-0712c49d07ab&displaylang=en?

Please make sure you've got Q811279 installed first:

I'm actually having the same problem. I actually get the same errore when
trying to install Q811279.

I'm using XP Media Center with SP2 installed, and the (completely useless)
tech support at Norton says I need this update for NIS to work.

Any further suggestions??

I am sorry I am not familiar with the XP MC. Is it XPe based OS?

The Q811279 is XPe SP1 specific QFE. So if you question is not related to XPe I am afraid we can't help you much here.
