Q about flashdrive booting

Jorge Cervantes

I am working on flashdrive booting. After inserting flashdrive (Kingston
Datatrave eleite) in the port, I looked at the boot sequence. I am able
add this item as the the first boot sequence:

USB RMD -FDD; Kingston Datatravel Elite.

It seems that my computer sees the flash drive (Kingston Datatravel Elite).
But I do not understand what it exactly means.

Does this mean that I can boot FDD or Flashdrive?
Thank you.

It means you can boot from the flash drive if you load some type of
operating system on it.

Thanks David,

I thought so. But when I tried to boot with BartPE flashdrive, I am getting
following error:

Inf file textsetup.sif is corrup or missing, Satus 1. Setup cannot
continue,
Press any key to exit.

I could not find textetup.sif file in the flashdrive.
I wonder how I can fix the problem.
My OS is WinXP Pro SP2.

With the same BartPE flashdrive, I have no problem with booting on Dell
Vostro laptop.

Jorge,
