Putting useable printer icon in task bar?

I use Windows XP & SP2. I need to put a icon for my Lexmark printer down at
the bottom of my screen by the clock and the date on right side. Thanks all
for your help. this is a VERY HELPFUL site .JJ

You can place the icon on the LEFT side of the screen next to the start
button by just dragging and dropping it from

START--> Printers & Faxes.

The right side of the screen is the systray. The printer icon will appear
there when the printer is active or waiting for operator action. When the
printout finishes the icon should disappear from the systray. If you are
not seeing this icon when the printer is active, try clicking on the button
in the systray which contains a <. which will "unhide" it.
