puter shuts and goes on by itself

friends computer shuts down by itself and starts up
again, does it have a virus, if so, how to fix? Thanks

Control Panel | Performance and Maintenance | System | Advanced

Click Settings in the Startup and Recovery section and uncheck Automatically
Restart. You will then see the blue screen with some information about the
problem.
