Publishing With FP 2003

Do to a computer crash I had to upgrade win 98 with FP 2000 to Win XP usinf
FP 2003. When I published an existing web from my compter to a remote web,
2003 created and published the web to a NEW folder in my remote (internet
based) web. Any suggestions to what I did wrong and how it can be corrected?
Thanks in advance!

I think if I were in the situation I'd start by getting everything "right"
on my local machine:
open FrontPage, hit file/ open site, type the http:// address of your site.
when it opens hit file/ publish site and publish it down to your local
computer (**note, when you browse to the publish location on your local
machine be sure to create a new folder for the site to go into, if not
you'll wind up with a bunch of sites published into one folder like /my webs
etc. it's a real mess)
once it's published down you can work on it with FrontPage and publish it
back up to the server. when publishing back to the server from your local
machine be careful of the address at the bottom of the publish web dialog
box. if there's a / after the domain it'll create a sub site and publish
into that.

THANK YOU! This appears to have worked fine. I "thought" this was what I
did the first time. but....
