Now, I know you can make websites through Word but how do
you publish them through Word?
Thanks!

What version of Word? In Word 2002/2003, assuming you have Web space on an
FTP server (this is typical for the free Web space you get from your ISP),
you start by going to File | Open. Click the arrow beside the "Look in" box
to display the folder tree. Under the folder FTP Locations you'll see
"Add/Modify FTP Locations." Click on that. You'll get a dialog into which
you put the information you've been given by your Web host regarding the FTP
site, user name, password. Then when you want to "publish" files, you just
save them to this "folder" (you must have an active Internet connection to
do this).

Alternatively, your ISP may furnish FTP software such as WS_FTP. While this
is not as easy as saving directly to the Web folder, I used this method for
years before finally managing (just before switching to FrontPage) to
configure an FTP folder that actually worked, and I found it quite
straightforward.
