Hi all,

Am trying to publish my web page from Font Page 2003. I have all of my
files in one folder. The page would not upload. When I called the help
line for my web hosting service, they said I should put all the files in the
"my web sites" folder. I really don't want to do this if I don't have to.
Is there a way to publish this and keep the files in a separate folder on my
computer. I do understand that they have to go into the root file on the
web site.

Thanks,
Carol

The folder must be a web / site in order to be published via FP. Open the folder directly in FP, and
let FP convert it to a web / site, then you will be able to publish it.

Hi Tom,

Am very new to FP. I open the program. Double click on my folder in the
folders List window. Then go to file\publish. A double pane window opens.
All folders are listed on both sides, also on the right window are the files
for the web site, but for some reason they are duplicates of the ones that
are in the folder. These are the ones that get published and do not change
because the files that are changed on my computer are the ones in the folder
I double click on the folder on the left side, it opens the folder, but the
folder is still on the right side along with the root files. Am I making
myself clear or is it just mud?

Thanks,
Carol Van

1. Launch FP
2. File Menu | Open Web / Site
3. Browse to the local folder holding your web, then click open
4. File Menu | Publish Web / Site
5. Enter http://www.yourdomainname.com, then your login info.

Thanks. Will try that when I go back to work after Christmas Vacation.
