publishing subwebs

FP2002 FP extensions refreshed
I seem to be having dificulty publishing a subweb.
Everytime I publish the main site and click include
subwebs I get the message that I don't have permission and
need to contact administrator. I do have permission. I am
the only one that works on this site. I have contacted my
host and all of the permissions are set properly. Is there
a setting in FP2002 somewhere that I may have set wrong? I
have read threw the help files and they are very vague
when it comes to subwebs.
I already have the subweb on the net but am trying to
change it's name.
Thanks for your help.

Do you get the same error when you open the subweb in FP and try to publish
it to the full URL to the remote subweb?

No, If I open and publish on it's own it publishes fine.
It's only when I try to change the subweb name and publish
via the main site that I get the error.
Can I open the subweb change the name in the web options
section and then publish by it's self? When I try this it
doesn't ask me if I want to create a new folder at all it
just publishes to the old web folder.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Ron

Open the subwebs on both your local and remote sides
TOOLS > WEB SETTINGS
Under the General tab, next to Web name - you can change the name of the
subweb(s) You might want to recalculate the hyperlinks on both subwebs too
after you do this.

This, of course, still doesn't exactly explain your original
question/problem. Perhaps if you change the name of the subweb, both
locally and on the remote server you won't have the error anymore when you
try to publish. I usually publish subwebs individually anyway.

Tiffany,
Here's some more info for you. I just tried publishing
again because MS (my Host) said that they had run a
program on my account to fix any errors with publishing
sub webs. Now if I publish the main site without including
subwebs my subweb shared borders turn into my main site
shared borders. If I go back and publish the subweb alone
then the borders come back to the ones I need. Very odd!
Thanks,

Very odd. Make sure that your local copies of the web are as up to date as
they can be - and be sure to contact your hosting company about these
problems. There are clearly some crossed wires on their end and in fixing
them, they'll likely blow out some of your subwebs, shared borders, etc.
