Publisher 2002

Hi all, is there an Office 2002/XP newsgroup?

If there is, I can't find it. The question I want to ask is:

Does Publisher 2002, work with Hyperthreading PC's??

It installs OK, and SP3 installs OK after it.

BUT, no matter what I do, it crashes, when I click
on a template/go to about in the menu, or select
anything in the menu! And it goes round in circles
until I untick restart Publisher (which shows in the
error window that appears). Any clue why it
doesn't work??

I have Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Access 2002/XP
installed. And SP3 has been installed as well. And they
run fine, no prob at all.NONE of these crash.

Any info appreciated

No version of Publisher is written to support Hyperthreading. Using an HT
proc will not have any effect on Publisher 2002.

HT is a massive crock of baloney. There are so few programs that can take
advantage of it that it's hardly worth the money.

Well some programs I do USE, DO make use
of HT. (video editing). BUT my question wasnt
to ask whether HT was good or NOT. It was
does Publisher work OK with it.

Yup you did.. BUT I didn't want a lecture tho
on what effect HT had on it. That wasnt the question
either. Thanx anyway for the info. I found the
right newsgroup.
