Hi,

I have FP 2003 and I don't fully understand the difference between
publishing and synchronizing. I use the publish command, and every
time the screen pops up to tell me that "some items have changed on
both the local and remote sites and are in conflict." Then I have a
choice to "Ignore and Continue" or "Overwrite Remote Files."

Should I have synchronized instead of publishing? That popup screen is
so annoying. I always overwrite the remote files because that was my
intention.

Thanks!

Hi,
Howdy.

I have FP 2003 and I don't fully understand the
difference between publishing and synchronizing.

Publishing transmits all changed files from one location
to another.

Synchronizing sends files in either direction, depending
which site has the newer version.
I use the publish command, and every time the screen pops
up to tell me that "some items have changed on both the
local and remote sites and are in conflict." Then I have
a choice to "Ignore and Continue" or "Overwrite Remote
Files."

Should I have synchronized instead of publishing? That

remote files because that was my intention.

Thanks!
