Publish/ftp?

If one has problems with website and wants to re-publish it, do you
recommend not deleting the special folders but just the contents? What
happens if you delete the folders?Does it matter whether server has FP
extensions or not.

If you're "republishing" select "Publish all" and the files on the server will be overwritten with
new ones.

If the remote server doesn't have the FP extensions, it doesn't matter, just do not delete in your
local copy. If the remote server has the FP extensions and you delete it, and then manually create
it, it will not have the required permissions. If you run a check or server health check on the
extensions, FP will re-add the _private folder, but the permissions may not be correct, and FP will
add the images folder back.

However, that will not remove any old content.
