Hi all: Using FP XP from Home and would like to use FP from Work to work on
same web site. Is this possible? and do I need the same version of FP or can
I use 2003 at work? I'd appreciate comments please.
Thanks, Ed

It is best to have the same version on both, as the newer version has additional features that are
not supported by the older version.

Thanks, Any special tricks to control from 2 locations with FP 2003?

You have two options:

1. Work directly on the live site, and then publish back to the PC you are working on as backup. Not
always a good idea, since the world can see any error that you might create.

2. Open the live/remote site from the machine that you are at, publish down to the machine, make
changes and then publish back to the live/remote site. Repeat this for each machine you work at.

That a plan. I will invest in upgrade for my machine and full for work
machine. Both running windows xp pro. Thanks, Ed

Yes.....it is probably better to use the same version of Frontpage,
particularly if you've used features in one that the other doesn't have.

FP 2003 has extra features for sure, but the features requiring the server
extensions haven't changed FP2003 still uses the FPSE 2002.

Just be sure that the changes you make from home computer and publish are
not overwritten by changes you make on any of the same pages at the work
computer.

Either work live on the site from both or publish changed pages down to
local pc before you start to 'synchronise' the versions on the local
machines.
