I have seen an Access app where the user need only fire up Internet
Explorer and is able to run the Access Db. The user seemingly need not
have Access installed. Win2003 web server of some description was at
the host end of this app, I was using Win2K/IE6 as the client.

What is the technology in use here? I am trying to figure out where to
start learning as this is quite elegant for small numbers of users.

Thanks
Phil

Probably what you are talking is DAP (Data Access Page), which is built into
MS Access since Access2K. I am not sure how many people really use that, but
it is not that popular as far as I know, since there are so many web
technologies that just do what you want and do it easier, faster, and
safer... On the other hand, if you are in a small network, not many users,
you can use DAP to quickly build some data access HTML pages.
