Hey

We are running outlook 2003 and a exchange server 2003.
I have a problem in public folders with permissions.
I have a distribution group I have given permissions to a public folder.
The users can't see til public folder.

In the group there are 2 other groups. And in the 2 groups there are other
groups. The users are in the last group.

The problem with the permissions is first shown now, after I have changed
the groups. Can it have something to do with distribution groups and security
groups.

When you have changed the membership for the user that user must relogon for
changes to take effect.

Tips of the month:
-FREE tool; QuickMail. Create new Outlook items anywhere from within Windows
-Properly back-up and restore your Outlook data

what do you mean with relogon ? - our users shut down their computers every day
--
Thanks Irene

Outlook/clients permissions I assume?

Nesting security groups in distributiongroups and vice versa could give
mixed results. Try setting permissions directly and then start nesting to
find out where things go wrong.
