Public Folder views through Favorites

I have one user suffering a strange problem that I haven't seen before. Using
Outlook XP with Exchange 5.5 (all fully SP'd & patched) user can access PF's
by navigating to them normally wthout any problem. He has added the same PF's
to his Favorites folder - when accessing through this route the view has
changed, with multiple duplicate columns. Attempting to change the view
crashes Outlook in clicking OK.
Other users don't have any problem using his machine, and the problem
follows the user to other machines.

You could try running the command line switch CleanViews (see link below) as
well as creating a new profile. However if you have checked her Outlook on
another system by creating a new profile and the same issue occurrs then it
sounds as the issue is at the mailbox (server) level.

Have him start OUtlook once with the /resetviews switch. This will wipe out
all view customizations on all folders, but should fix the problem he's
seeing.
