Public Folder in Exchange

Billy Leung

Hi all,

I am using Outlook2002 SP3. And it is connected to the public folder in
Exchange server 2003 (in SBS 2003). In the folder tree, I can see the public
folder. But is it possible to set it so that it remind me whenever a
specific public folder contain mail (or file) in it. Your help would be
appreciated.

No, not without scripting something. If you add it to PF favorites then to
Favorite folders, you can see the unread mail count and it should update as
new mail arrives.

Hi Diane Poremsky,

Thanks for your reply. I have a similar way as yours. In "Customize Outlook
Today", add those folders at "Show me these folders" in the Message section.
But what I need to get is pop up windows or message to notify there is
message under those folders. We really need this instead that the end user
open the folder from time to time to check.

"No, not without scripting something." Do you mean VBA? Or any other tools?
Can you descibe in details? Your solution to this will be indeed a big help
to us!
