Hello,
I plan to setup a win 2000 DNS server for public use ( a primary and
secondary)
can you give me a start point of design (documentation, hints etc.)
My network consist of two machines, one for Primary DNS server and one for
secondary
DNS & Web server, Do i need a router? and how to use a one static IP that I
own?
I mention that DNS server is for public use.
Any help much appreciated.

We'll start with the easy stuff. You must have two static public IP
addresses to run two DNS servers.

As for design, hints, etc. have you looked at the Help files yet? If
not, start there. For a primer on DNS as it applies to IIS, look at:

DNS on Windows 2000 is a good book if you need more.

Do you need a router? Can't tell. You need to be able to reach two
separate systems by public IP address, if in your case that needs a
router, then yes, you need one.
