Hi,

Suppose I want to schedule an entry on an Outlook calendar, and invite
some
attendees. The attendees will get all the text I type into the
description/notes text box.

But suppose I have some private data that I want to see on my
calendar,
but not send to the attendees. How can I do that? If this is
possible, can it be
done using ICAL/VCALENDAR?

Thanks,

David

After sending the invitation, open the appointment in your calendar and add
the the notes. When you save it, if you're asked if you want to send the
update, say "No".

But then if I have new attendees, or if I reschedule the appointment,
I will have a problem.
I will need to cut and paste the private info and do multiple saves.
Is there any better way to have private data?

You could always make a second calendar, copy the appointment to it, and add
the private data to the copy.
