PTE Exhaustion on Windows XP, SP 2

Hi There,

I read an old post on another newsgrouo that suggested there was a PTE Leak
when writing lots of files to a
RAID controller which was a bug in NTFS.SYS??

Can anyone comment on this and naturally I am looking for a fix if one might
exist!!!?

The "leak" appears to be in SCSIPORT.SYS, which I understand to be a
Microsoft driver file; we are going to try and open a dialog with Microsoft
to see what possible fix we may need to perform.

If any MS bods read this post, and can help expedite the process of getting
to talk to someone, then please post the suggested path to follow!

Hi There

FYI, it turned out to be related to the number and possible speed at which
we are writing files and only when written to a NTFS formatted driver a RAID
controller. With help from Microsoft, we have resolved the issue by using a
patch for the NTFS.SYS driver.

It appears that some change betweeb the SP1a version of NTFS.SYS and SP2 has
introduced this issue. I trust that will help anyone else who is suffering
with this problem.
