Hand Icon on folders in Outlook 2007

as the post you linked indicates, the hand is visible when the folder
permission is set to visible.

right click on the folder and choose properties. look on the permissions
tab - in the lower section is a checkbox for visible. if that box is checked
for anyone listed (even if they are assigned the None permission level), it
will show the hand.

Hi Diane

Thank you for this I had a exchadmin account which had a Folder view tick in
some folders. Obviously I'm sure you are aware you have to create an account
other than Administrator to see everyones mailboxes as this has changed in
Exchange 2003.

Regards

Damien Edgar
