pst ost repair didn't work

Hi,

working offline,
When I tried to click "New" to write a new email, i got "ost file error",
use scanpst to repair.
i followed the instructions and used scanpst, but no success.

Moreover, my pst file is not working as when I tried to add files to my pst
I got the same error as above.

rebooted, still same problem

Then, connected to my network, I got the "Microsoft Outlook needs to
shutdown, send error report". This happened several times. Tried calling my
helpdesk - no answer as usual.

After ten minutes, all above problems disappeared.

It this happens again, what can I do?

You should ensure you're scanning your PST while Outlook is closed. Where is
your PST located, on your local PC/laptop or on a network drive? It should be
kept on your local PC/laptop since Outlook needs to have uninterrupted
read/write access to it. If the process is interrupted, corruption can result.

The OST file can be deleted, since it will recreate when Outlook opens again.
