Quite a few of my customers regularly get the following error message
when trying to access their outlook data files (personal folders).

'unable to expand the folder. The set of folders could not be opened.
The file
F:\windows\outlook\microsoft\outlook\my username.pst could not be
accessed. (username deleted for obvious reasons).'

The F: drive is network drive, which is a Microsoft SAN server. This
problem does not seem to occur to outlook data files which are situated
on local drives.

Please can someone advise?

MS doesnt support the use of a pst over a network, it can lead to problems,
not least with corruption.
However many have no apparent problems
