pst file

Hi,

I have a .pst file that is 1,037,763 kb. When I open it in Outlook it is
reflected on my folders list with the normal subfolders; INBOX, SENT ITEMS,
CONTACTS, etc. When I click on properties for the entire folder it reflects
the size as 0 KB. There are no messages in INBOX or SENT ITEMS or any other
subfolder. How can this pst file at 1,037,763 kb not have any contents in it?
I believe some of my sent email messages arfe in there but I can't seem to
view them.

Thanks
Marc

Did you copy that folder at all prior to trying to open it?

Brian,

Yes, I copied the file to other folders on my "c" drive. I did this when
trying to open it ion Outlook figuring if it was in a different location
maybe it would open correctly.

Thanks

Outlook will open a PST in any folder on your hard drive, provided you have
permission to access it. If you copied the file while Outlook already had
it open from a prior attempt, you could very well have damaged it beyond
repair. Have you tried using the Inbox Repair Tool (SCANPST.EXE) on it?
