*.pst file locked ofice 2003

Plz suggest the way for unlocking the pst file in outlook 2003. As it
gives an error as access

denied in user login. Plz send the solution on
(e-mail address removed)...

You're not providing any information to work with. Pst-files are locked when
the outlook.exe process is running.

The pst which I m trying to open is old one & not in used as it is
over sized. but when I added the concern in outlook & tried to modify
one of mail in pst it gave an error for size limit. Then I deleted
some unwanted mail's from it & compact it for reducing the size and
again tried to modify mail then it got locked. Even though I have all
the right's for pst

What is giving you the locked warning message? Outlook or Explorer?
When you have it connected in Outlook it is being considered in use; it
doesn't matter if you actually use the items within it.
What is the current size of the pst-file as reported by Explorer?
