PST File broke

I have a (500Mb) pst file that locks up outlook 2000.

I can add it to the profile fine. When I view the folder list, click on the
plus sign to see the contents, Outlook looks up and goes unresponding.

Have tried scanpst... no change.

Any other ideas?

Suggest reporting the steps used to corrupt the file and the actual outcome
of scanpst.exe.
Otherwise you're just asking us to guess.
