proxyoverride/Proxy exceptions not working

We use a proxyserver to access the internet. To access the local servers
(distributed over different local subnets) we use proxy exceptions. We have
pushed out the proxy exceptions for our clients by registrykey of
proxyoverride. the key contains the following:

192.168.*.*;*.*0.licomnv.nl;www2.licomnv.nl;dissql;intranet;trackit;trackit.licomnv.nl;kamsql;kamsql.licomnv.nl;172.16.*.*;<local>

According to the documentation the use of wildcards is correct this way.
When we access local addresses, like http://192.168.70.235, IE is still using
the proxy, whereas according to the exceptions it shouldn't. Any ideas where
this is going wrong
