Protection / Grouping

Is there any option that I can select when protecting a worksheet that will
allow the user to still use the outlining buttons?

If you already have the outline/subtotals/autofilter applied, you can protect
the worksheet in code (auto_open/workbook_open??).

Option Explicit
Sub auto_open()
With Worksheets("sheet1")
.Protect Password:="hi", userinterfaceonly:=True
.EnableOutlining = True
'.EnableAutoFilter = True
'If .FilterMode Then
' .ShowAllData
'End If
End With
End Sub

It needs to be reset each time you open the workbook. (Earlier versions of
excel don't remember it after closing the workbook. IIRC, xl2002+ will remember
the allow autofilter setting under tools|Protection|protect sheet, but that
won't help when you're filtering via code.)

I am using XL2003.

I have set up my groupings and these will not change. What I want to do is
restrict the user to only selecting and adding text to the unlocked cells,
and allow them to open and close groupings. I can apply protection
manually, but from the option on the Tools|Protection|Protect Sheet dialog
box see any option to allow outlining.

Can I do what I am wanting to do, either via code or just through the user
interface?
