Protecting my external hard Drive

Hi,

Is there a free tool to protect my extrnal hard drive.
I want to be prompted for a password on any machine I connect my
external hard disk to it.
So I prevent unauthorized access.

Then Google around for something like FolderLock that *is* free. Look on
some download sites (being careful about malware).
