protecting individual cells - not entire worksheets

What is the best way to protect individual cells on a
worksheet(that have values that have been calculated
elsewhere) from being modified accidentally?

Dear Mark
Highlight the individual cells that you wish to protect,
then rightmaouseclick and choose format cells. Click on
the protection tab - make sure the "locked" box is ticked.
Click th "OK" button. Now go to tools - Protection -
Protect sheet - enter a password if required.

Perhaps it should be mentioned that the default is locked. So, if you want
other cells unlocked, you must unlock and then protect the worksheet.
