protected form - can't edit text box in unprotected section

P

Pat Moore

I need to create a protected form for a client in which
they enter discussion comments in a text box which
overflows (if they are too wordy) onto a second page using
a linked text box. There are therefore 4 sections. #1 & #3
are protected and have text form fields. #2 has the
Discussion text box and needs to be unprotected so it can
be accessed by the user. Section #4 is on a second page
and contains a text box linked to #2.

If I protect the form (sections #1&3 only), it prevents me
from accessing the text boxes. The client insists we use
linked text boxes. Is there a way around this problem??

Explain to the client that this doesn't work and ask why just ordinary text
space (which will overflow automatically) wouldn't serve just as well.

Hi Pat,

Replied to the duplicate question you asked me as part of
another thread (in customization.menustoolbars, I think).
